Lyndsay Bird
Lyndsay Bird is an internationally renowned educator who has worked in emergency settings for organisations such as Concern, Save the Children, UNICEF and UNESCO. Lyndsay has written and edited several publications on education in emergencies. She has also written a cookbook Lunches with Liz, a tribute to her friend Liz Holmes who died of cancer.
Zena: The Housewives' Detective is Lyndsay’s debut novel. Mysterious and striking, Lyndsay's cousin Zena and her stories featured throughout Lyndsay's life. When Zena died in 2011 aged 90, Lyndsay approached Marion, Zena's younger sister. Could she write about Zena? Immediately Lyndsay was given Zena's journals, newspaper clippings and photos. It is thanks to Marion that this novel came about.
